FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is a worldwide robotics community that prepares young people for the future through a suite of inclusive, team-based robotics programs for ages 4-18. Join Ignite, a FIRST Robotics Competition team, for robot demos as well as Q&A about anything to do with building robots. The demo features SPITFIRE, Ignite’s 2022 award-winning competition robot.
STEAM Opportunities for Students Through Robotics Competitions

Are you a student or a parent who likes robots? Or maybe you’re a maker or artist who’s looking to give back? If so, join mentors and students from Ignite Robotics, a FIRST Robotics Competition team to learn about how to get involved in your community’s robotics programs. We’ll discuss how these programs help inspire young people to become science and technology leaders and how they provide mentoring opportunities for adults to share their expertise. And finally, we’ll have a demonstration of some robots where attendees can see what students design, build, and compete with each year.
Romi-ing Your Way Into Robotics

Have you ever wanted to build a robot, but didn’t know where to start? Then come learn about building and programming Romi robot kits. Mentors from Ignite Robotics, a FIRST Robotics Competition team will demonstrate how these kits are used to teach fundamental robotics skills. We’ll keep the talking to a minimum and spend the bulk of our time letting attendees compete in a game using the mini-bots.
